___Juvarith

Appearance : In direct contrast to his rider, Juvarith is not a large creature, especially not compared to some of the brutes that will emerge from some of his clutchmates. He's a sleek, smooth, almost feline-like brown that would fit more with a blue than a brown, but he carries it off so well that no one really notices that he doesn't have as much muscle as some of his like-ranked siblings or future wings of browns. Juvarith oddest feature is that on each of his back legs the middle toe toes are fused together, giving him two small toes and one larger main toe, though this usually doesn't harm him too much. It would be much different if it was his forefeet that this mutation had affected, but thankfully its his hind feet. His hide is a rich ginger brown color, a lovely shade that wouldn't really stand out too much if he was standing next to other browns, but combine it with the dark, deep chocolate color of his markings and you have a dragon that stands out more than anyone would have thought he did. The dark colors appears on the wingsails of each wing, on the toes of each forepaw, streaking along each headknob and, most oddly, in a perfect mimicry of the chest strap, around his neck and with a large circular marking right in the center of his chest.

Personality : Intelligent, Proud, Sarcastic, Droll

Why was Juvarith chosen for R'mek? : Juvarith is the steady bulwark to R'mek's insecurities, shoring him up with whatever is needed, usually sharp words and, occasionally, a tight drawing up by the bootstraps. This Brown is an honorable creature, and will teach his rider that honor to the best of his ability. While he doesn't mind throwing his small weight around, and won't hesitate to using his superior vocabulary to throw people or other dragon's off, he prefers not to do so unless he has been pushed back into a corner. Juvarith will be able to protect his rider from anyone that he feels he needs to with his sharp tongue and wit while teaching R'mek to stand up for himself the proper way.

Mind Voice : Juvarith's voice is smooth melted chocolate, poured all over the mind of whoever is listening to him, all warm and gliding. When happy, its white chocolate, smooth and sweet without that tang, seemingly light and certainly enjoyable, but when angry its dark chocolate, with a bitter bite to it that makes one want to draw back. Its not that he really sounds angry, its just that his voice gets so dark and sarcastic its hard not to become irritated by it. He can come up with some spectacular one liners that he is able to pull off with perfect timing and just the right tone of voice to have people literally falling over themselves laughing on good days, or sending them crying if he's angry with them.


Yay, I've finally done a digital dragon!

I know, I know, most of you would probably consider this only half done, but I kinda like it like this. I haven't got the patience to do much more derail anyway, even when I'm working in 4.5x the resolution of this x]

I admit to taking reference from a picture of a dragon I found on google years ago, so if you recognise it and would like to claim it as yours, let me know (and provide proof) and I'll gladly credit it to you(EDIT: It was from a pic of =Nambroths, thanks *Nakase). I took only the most basic pose though, the rest is freehand, and edited to Pernese dragon style (Anne McCaffrey)

I dropped in a background from / of some clouds and voila!
