___Tutankhath

Dragon’s Appearance: Tutankhath will always be on the small side for a bronze, although those who have not known him since he was shelled would be surprised to hear it. While not scrawny, he has a slimmer, less developed build that is uncommon for a bronze, and combined with the fact that he is somewhat leggy, with large, wide eyes that carry a look of innocence no matter what he is up to, Tutankhath has a look of perpetual youth about him. As such, he will often be mistaken for a dragon far younger than he really is, even at his full height, which may lead to surprised weyrfolk commenting on how large he is for his age!

If he is weaker than other bronzes, however, he is far nimbler. Despite his somewhat awkward-looking build, Tutankhath can handle himself with startling grace and agility, quite able to reach his best potential. His hide is an interesting sight indeed – primarily a rich, classic shade, but all along his body are strange markings subtly painted in both slightly lighter and darker tones, as though he has been richly decorated. The interlocking designs fade into and out of his base color as one line will blend perfectly from light to dark to light again. The swirls, dots, and lines, subtle as they are, are only visible in certain dim light, such as at dusk or dawn, or by any kind of firelight. Also interestingly, the area from his eyeridges down along the back of his neck until midway to his shoulders seems to be tinted with a bluish sheen, as though he is wearing a long headpiece that drapes down his neck. All in all, Tutankhath is a beautifully colored, although a bit awkward, bronze, who will certainly be catching eyes in the weyr for one reason or another.

Dragon’s Personality: One look into Tutankhath’s large, innocent eyes will be enough to trick anyone into believing that he couldn’t possibly be capable of any wrongdoing, but this is exactly what he wants them to believe. While he is good-hearted and sometimes naïve, it will soon become apparent that Tutankhath is quite the little prankster in dragon form. With a keen and cunning mind, he is very capable of thinking up practical jokes to play on whoever he turns his sights on. He is every bit as youthful in demeanor as he looks, with a preference for humor over seriousness, and games over work.

But that isn’t to say that Tutankhath isn’t willing or capable of either of those. He is quite energetic and seems nearly tireless, and when he is bored of games to occupy his ever-active mind, this bronze if perfectly ready to turn his energy to whatever task his rider wants him to do…although his rider shouldn’t be surprised if Tutankhath makes a game of that as well. He is a friendly bronze, quite laid back when it comes to rank, even his own. He hardly seems ambitious, preferring to follow his heart than seek to raise himself in weyr ranks. Childish as he may often seem, in times of need Tutankhath reveals that he is not so naïve as he appears, with surprising moments of seriousness and perfect clarity and understanding. With his clever mind, Tutankhath is not an easy dragon to fool. Just don’t expect the seriousness to last long, as this dragon tends to find it terribly melodramatic to act so.

Thanks for for the sunset background, I would have failed without it. I hate backgrounds. Oh and the ground is a texture I found on photoshop, which is probably why it looks bland and repetitive, so nyah

Ah well, I'ma proud of how it turned out after all. New thing for me, back lighting, thought I'd try it seeing as those patterns on his hide are only supposed to show up in dawn/dusk/firelight, and I couldn't be assed to do fire either. I won't even GO there...
